Director of Training
Lynn Maulhardt, Director of Training, began flying in 1970. After graduating from Loyola University of Los Angeles with a BS in Physics he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the USAF. While in the Air Force he completed a combat tour as an F-4E Phantom Fighter Pilot in Vietnam. Later he was a T-38 Flight Instructor and Check Airman. During this time, he received a MA in Management and Human Relations from Webster University of St. Louis. In 2013 he retired from United Airlines as a Captain typed rated on the Boeing 737, 757 and 767 aircraft. He has extensive experience in the Air Force, Continental Airlines and United Airlines as a flight instructor and check airman with both domestic and international experience. Additional, he has served over the past 33 years as an elected public member of a Ventura County public water agency holding positions of Chairman, President, and board member. He is a lifelong resident of Oxnard California, with his wife of 47 years, where he is involved with his family's farming operation, adult children, and grandchildren. In his spare time, he is an active cyclist, hiker, and traveler.
