Silver Air Expands Management Team, Systems and Infrastructure to Support Continued, Managed Growth in 2016
New Director of Operations and Chief Pilot Bolster Talented, Tech-Savvy Team
Santa Barbara, Calif. – February 11, 2016 – Silver Air, the private jet management company, recently promoted Chris Marshall to director of operations and Anders Hostmark to chief pilot as part of the company’s ongoing internal development setting the stage for continued and managed growth throughout 2016.
“Silver Air is fulfilling its promise to be the absolute best, pure management service provider in the private aviation industry by developing processes and systems along with a world-class team to manage our growth in 2016 and beyond,” said Jason Middleton, Silver Air co-founder, president and CEO. “Chris and Anders are great examples of team members who have embraced our client-service, pure-management philosophy that puts our jet owners and charter brokers first.”
Marshall has a long and colorful career in aviation. Learning to fly at just 7-years-old, he is a three-time Guinness World Record holder as the youngest aviator to fly transcontinental when he was 10-years-old and transatlantic at 11. Marshall served as Silver Air’s previous chief pilot for more than four years. In his new role at Silver Air, Marshall now oversees the company’s day-to-day operations ensuring the highest level of service and safety. His promotion also frees up Middleton, who previously served simultaneously as director of operations, to focus exclusively on his duties as president and CEO.
A veteran pilot with more than 25 years of experience, Hostmark began flying with Silver Air in 2014. In his new position as chief pilot, Hostmark oversees the company’s growing team of pilots.
The recent promotions of Marshall and Hostmark follow other significant foundational and functional changes in 2015. Silver Air hired industry veteran Chuck Stumpf as the company’s executive vice president of business development. Executive, management, and charter broker support staff designed and moved into new, state-of-the-art operations center in downtown Santa Barbara. The company developed the Silver Air managed fleet by adding aircraft and services like inflight Wi-Fi, and Silver Air became more active with local community and chartable causes.
As Silver Air continues its managed growth, it is actively retaining new aircraft and clients who see the value in the transparent, pure jet management service that combines old-fashioned customer service with industry-leading technology and a talented, smart, tech-savvy staff.
Silver Air’s fleet features light to large-cabin jets including: Gulfstream G450, GIV-SP, GIV, Dassault Falcon 2000, Cessna Citation X, Lear 60, Beechjet 400A, Citation CJ3, Citation CJ2, and Phenom 100 models. Silver Air’s charter operations have earned the ARGUS Platinum Rating for their demonstration of the industry’s highest safety practices.
