James Gould is a highly experienced aviator and aviation leader, serving as Chief Pilot and Check Airman at Silver Air Private Jets. With over 9,800 flight hours, including 8,400 as Pilot-in-Command and extensive experience across multiple jet platforms, James brings a wealth of operational expertise to Silver Air’s flight operations. His deep knowledge of regulatory compliance, flight safety, and pilot development ensures that Silver Air upholds the highest standards of safety and performance in private aviation. As a Check Airman, he plays a pivotal role in training and evaluating pilots under FAA Part 135, contributing to the company’s ongoing commitment to excellence.
Before joining Silver Air, James held leadership positions at JSX, Jetsuite, and Avjet, where he gained extensive experience in both Part 91 and Part 135 operations. As a former Chief Pilot, he oversaw pilot hiring, training, and compliance, working closely with FAA regulators to ensure operational integrity. His expertise spans aircraft such as the Gulfstream G-V, G550, Bombardier Global Express, Challenger 601-3A, and various Citation and Embraer models. With a passion for safety and continuous improvement, James is also an ASAP safety team member and an instructor for Silver Air’s Lead Captain training program. His leadership and dedication make him an integral part of Silver Air’s pilot team, ensuring world-class service for owners and charter clients alike.
